Northern Alliance re-enactors will be returning to the grounds of Castle Fraser with a 15th Century encampment on the 28th & 29th June. They'll be joined by Knights of Monnymusk, Company of St. Margret and the Douglas Retinue. There will be displays throughout the weekend with the chance to get involved in some battle formations and archery!
Join us in the morning to get involved in the kids army and the afternoon for having a go at a spear formation. There will be firepower displays with bows and guns along with armed combat demonstrations throughout the day. The 'Have a go Archery' will also be running all weekend.
We'll have the castle's sword collection on display in the Great Hall and a chance to paint your own wooden shield to take home. The shield painting costs £5 per person and is located inside the main castle.
Normal admission and car parking fees apply, National Trust members park and enter the castle for free! No need to pre-book, donations are very gratefully received!
