Wild Arts presents Tchaikovsky’s passionate exploration of life, death, love, and pride in pre-revolutionary Russia – realising Pushkin’s heartbreaking story with fervour and lyricism.

Directed by the former Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe, Dominic Dromgoole, and conducted by Orlando Jopling, the production is arranged for chamber orchestra and fully staged in period costume, with a new English translation.

An outstanding cast is led by Timothy Nelson, Galina Averina, Xavier Hetherington, and Emma Hodkinson, alongside a hand-picked selection of internationally-renowned performers and rising stars – accompanied by the world-class players of the Wild Arts Ensemble.

The performance takes place in the stunning setting of Childerley Hall’s Long Barn just outside Cambridge. Enjoy a picnic in Childerley’s lovely gardens before the concert. Gardens and bar open from 1.00pm. The performance is expected to finish by 6.00pm with a 30-minute interval.
