Stud Ford & Will Coppage are a blues-rock duo from Greenville, Mississippi, blending the raw energy of Delta and Hill Country blues with a modern twist that resonates with today’s younger audience. Despite the legacy name of Stud’s grandfather, the legendary T-Model Ford, this duo is no “traditional blues act.” They are carving out their own lane, pushing the boundaries of the genre to create a sound that’s as fresh as it is deeply rooted.
Stud Ford (drums) started performing with his grandfather at age 6, living the blues from the ground up—touring, sleeping on juke joint floors, and learning from the masters. By 27, he’s a seasoned drummer with a legacy that propels him, yet he’s determined to evolve beyond expectations. Alongside him is Will Coppage (guitar/vocals), a pro songwriter with a BFA and MFA in Creative Writing, who channels his literary and artistic background into soulful songwriting that drives their raw, gritty sound. Together, the duo is creating music that demands attention.
Their debut EP Ain’t No Love (released in 2025) is the result of years of collaboration, sweat, and soul. The EP takes listeners on a journey through blues traditions while integrating modern grooves, capturing the energy of their live performances that get audiences moving.
