OPERA BRAVA are thrilled to be returning to the beautiful surroundings of Rodmarton Manor, a supreme example of an arts and crafts house, for the eighth year running.
Opera Brava’s cast of national and international singers bring to life Puccini’s most beloved of operas in this spectacular open-air garden, accompanied by their talented chamber ensemble and set against the enchanting backdrop of Rodmarton Manor. From the heart-wrenching tragedy of La Bohème to the exotic allure of Madam Butterfly, immerse yourself in the powerful beauty of Puccini’s timeless music.
La Boheme, set in Paris in the 1830s among a group of impoverished Bohemians, the opera centres around the tragic love affair between the seamstress, Mimi, and Rodolfo, a poet. Frivolity, joy, tenderness and sorrow are all expressed in the wonderful music of this most treasured of operas.
Bring a chair, blanket and a picnic to experience this summer highlight in a setting as magical as the music itself. Gates open from 6.00pm for you to enjoy the grounds before the opera begins.
