Southern Dutchess Concert Band at Schlathaus Park in Wappingers Falls

The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Schlathaus Park, sponsored by the Town Of Wappinger Recreation department. The park is located at the intersection of County Route 93/Myers Corners Road and County Route 94/All Angels Road (click on the map) and there will be a brand new stage this year! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets: Admission is Free.

The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include a medley of Frank Sinatra's greatest hits, "The Washington Post March", and a tribute to high-flying trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
