Make your own pair of cool, custom, and yes, even comfortable sneakers! Weβve taken European designed Sneaker soles and created our own pattern for a quilted cotton version that will have others saying βI canβt believe you made those!β
Join Wendy van der Walt as she guides us through the Quilted Sneaker process. Wendy is the owner of Fabriculous Quilt Store in Brandon Manitoba
Workshop Prep Work:
There is NO prep work/ all is done during class time.

What Does the Student Bring to Class?
sewing machines with the ability to straight stitch and zig zag
sharp to the point scissors
erasable marking pen
basic sewing notions- pins, wonder clips, seam ripper, etc
polyester thread - I like Glide
participants will need to bring their own exterior and lining fabrics - if they purchase .5 m of each, they will be able to highlight specific motifs.
alternatively, you can make a pair from 3 fat quarters of fabric, using one as contrast for the tongues.
one fat quarter of Soft and Stable
one meter of fusible woven interfacing.
Instructor will bring along all the specialty tools- eyelet setters and punch tools- required for construction- for the students use during the workshop.
Bring your lunch and indoor shoes
A kit is included in the registration and includes the following:
Kits include soles, insoles, pattern, eyelets, waxed shoe making thread and needle.
Participants will be asked to indicate their preference for sole colour and size

Open to FFAA members only. Either with an individual membership or through a member Guild
Maximum Students = 15
Registration Fee is $100 per student
