The wonderful world of journaling is a great place to retreat from the world for a while. I call it my scribble art, but none the less apply my art know how. I still think about composition, drawing, values, colours and edges. I draw what is in front of me and write down my responses to it. It can be as complex or as simple as I want, but most of all it's just plain fun.
