๐ฃ The Irwell Sculpture Trail Challenge!
Spanning 50km / 31 miles, the Irwell Sculpture Trail boasts of 'over 70 artworks' and holds the title of being the UK's longest public art trail.
Join The Sunnywood Project on this small-group excursion to hike along its whole length from Bacup to Salford Quays!
Led by a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader with a wealth of experience, this small-group outing will allow you to discover and explore new places whilst completing a challenging route with the camaraderie of other like-minded people around you - There should be no desire to 'beat' anyone or break any records.
Beginning in Bacup, the group will hike along the trail through Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom, Bury, Radcliffe, and more until entering the more urbane landscapes of Manchester and Salford, finishing at Salford Quays.
Like all of our events, we look forward to completing the distance with the camaraderie of other like-minded people around us and you will need to prepared for a full, 13-hour day on the trails.
