Southern Dutchess Concert Band at Geering Park, Fishkill

The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Mauer-Geering Park, sponsored by the Town of Fishkill Recreation department, starting at 6:30 p.m. The park is located in Fishkill on Geering Way which is on the north side Route 52 immediately to the east of the intersection with Interstate 84 (click on the map). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets: Admission is Free. If it should rain, this concert will be held the next day, on Thursday, July 17th, at the same time (this facebook event will be updated in that case).

The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include songs from the musical "Chicago", a medley of famous TV theme songs from the 1980s, and "Tiptoe Through the Tubas". The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
