SATURDAY 26TH JULY – BEGINNERS FORAGING WORKSHOP – 1:30PM
Beginners Summer Foraging workshop in the beautiful and fruitful land of Margam Country Park. Come and learn how to identify wild edibles and medicinal’s as well as gaining knowledge on how to use your wild goodies.
What can you expect?
We will have a brief introduction to the history of foraging and what can be foraged at different times of the year as well as the laws and ettiquite of picking wild food. Next, we will identify a variety of plants species, understand their uses and give you the opportunity to forage for yourselves. You are welcome to take some plants home with you so make sure to bring a bag!
What do you need?
Foraging basket or some bags if you want to collect anything
Notepad and pen
Suitable clothing
Water
- 90 minute workshop
- Suitable for families and young people aged 15+
- Please arrive at Castle Visitor Courtyard 15 minutes before the start of your session.
- Margam Country Park’s car parking charge of £8.50 applies.
