🦁Join Little Nelson and his Lion family to explore objects from the museum’s collection and engage with them through stories, songs and play!🦁
🏰Nelson loves the view of Rotherham from the top of Boston Castle. He enjoys looking at all the buildings. What buildings do you like? Can you build a tower as tall as the 50p flats by Clifton Park Museum? Or something as wide as Wentworth Woodhouse? Come and have a go at building your own town! Who will live in it?🏰
🌸Nelson’s Cub Club is for Under 5’s and their families, and is free to attend. Drinks and a small snack will be provided. Donations are welcome!🌸
⏰This session takes place 11am to 12:30pm

To help everyone have a safe, fun, and rewarding experience, here are a few gentle reminders:
👶🏽1. Be Present & Play Together - Stay close and enjoy exploring the activities alongside your child. It's a lovely chance to learn and play together!
👧🏻2. Care for the Space & Resources - Please help your child look after the toys and materials. We’re all sharing, so it’s great to show respect for the things others will use too.
👦🏾3. We’re Here to Support You - Our team is here to guide the session and support you and your child, but you're still the best person to care for them throughout.
Here’s what to expect:
🖐🏻1. Welcome
We’ll meet upstairs in the Earls Room to say hello with a welcome song, explore some themed activities, and enjoy free play.
Please note: space is limited in this room, so we recommend arriving early as entry is first come, first served. There is a family stay and play room down stairs in the Gardeners room if upstairs is too full. You are then welcome to join us in the outdoor exploring activity.
🌷 2. Outdoor Discovery
Join us outside for more hands-on, themed activities designed to encourage curiosity and play in nature.
🎵 3. Snack, Song & Story Time
To finish, we’ll head back inside for a healthy snack, some favourite songs, and a short story to end the session.
Our team will guide the activities, but you’re the best support for your child — so come ready to join in and enjoy the fun together!
