Botanical Ink Making

Join children’s book illustrator and designer, Gabrielle Eisma, for a class full of colorful botanical inking made with foraged native and invasive plants. In this class, you will be introduced to many plant sources that create inks, and learn how to modify homemade ink to create different natural colors, and learn tips and tricks for making your own botanical ink. You will leave with a booklet of botanical ink recipes and tips for every color of the rainbow you can make in your own kitchen or studio, and a homemade color chart from the specially made inks from the class! Designed for ages 13+.

This workshop is $25/person and $35/family will be held at Plainsong Farm (6677 12 Mile Rd NE, Rockford).
