Held in conjunction with 517 Living Community Week, the Lansing Model Railroad Club is hosting its annual fall open house on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. See trains running on the club's beautiful HO scale layout that is housed in the 1890s vintage Grand Trunk Western Railroad Millet Depot.
Spectators can choose from a birds-eye overhead walkway view of cities, rail yards, mountains, bridges, and more, or a layout level panoramic view from our new building addition. Trains run using North Coast Engineering digital command control (DCC) system. If you've ever wanted to see how a model railroad is put together from the ground up, this is your chance.
Also, see the club's efforts on restoring the Michigan Avenue (MA) Tower, which was moved in September 2016.
Admission and parking is free on paved lot. There is a handicap ramp accessible to the first floor.
