Bob Seger is a legendary American heartland rocker from Detroit, MI. Now a retired singer-songwriter and musician, Bob Seger managed to leave behind an impressive and touching musical legacy which still lives on to this day, and will continue to live on in the future. Seger's music touches the soul of the listener in an intimate and profound way, sharing the struggles, trials and tribulations of a challenged life, teaching lessons of resilience, hope, understanding and love.

Teenage Bob Seger burst onto the Detroit music scene in 1961 fronting a three-piece band named The Decibels. Seger was the first rock musician thirteen-year-old Garland Hogan heard live in concert. Decades later, in 2021, Seger became the inspiration for Hogan’s eight-member band, "Fire Lake – A Tribute to Bob Seger."

Hogan, a retired music attorney, created Fire Lake by bringing together professional touring musicians from Atlanta and his native South Florida. “Seger’s songs look back on a life well spent,” said Hogan, lead singer, guitarist and band manager. “His music speaks to everyone. People still want to hear songs about dreams, freedom and truth.”

Fire Lake performs at The Hub August 9th.
