An Evening with Melissa Carper trio with Bonnie Montgomery & Greg Harkins (USA)

Melissa Carper, was born into a music-loving family in Arkansas, and raised on roots music, immersing herself in a family record collection that featured Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn & Leadbelly. She started playing Upright Bass when she was a child, performing in the family band in churches and rest homes around the area. Eventually the crooner/singer-song crafter/upright bassist made her way to Austin Texas, to be where the music community was. Pouring decades of country charm into her music, Melissa creates a uniquely timeless American sound that feels like a warm hug to the soul. With a voice that echoes the golden era of country and a songwriting style rooted in tradition, Melissa Carper isn’t a throwback of the past though, rather a ‘ramblin soul’ looking to the future.
