WIMBORNE MINSTER PREPARES FOR SEPTEMBER FLOWER FESTIVAL
The once in five years Flower Festival returns to Wimborne Minster this September. It will actually be three years since the last one as the 2020 one was postponed to 2022 because of COVID.
Plans for the event which will take place from 26th to 29th September are already well advanced. The title will be "The Delights of Dorset" and already a number of Dorset Flower Clubs have agreed to take part.
Christine Oliver who is designing the Festival said "that a number of accessories to go with Floral Arrangements have already been made including Mary Anning the famous fossil hunter from Lyme Regis. Next on the list is to make a life sized Dinosaur which will depict the Jurassic Coast. Working parties are already underway"
