Learn proper “petiquette” on public lands. During the program, pets and their human companions will hike with a park ranger to learn about the B.A.R.K. Ranger principles. Afterward, participants become official B.A.R.K. Rangers during an induction ceremony where they receive a certificate and bandana. Registration is required.
Group ceremonies take place behind the Visitor Center, with a short hike through the South Woods from 10:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-2:00pm. Individual ceremonies, for dogs that do best without unfamiliar dogs, will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm in 15 minute time slots and do not include a guided hike.
Register for this free program over the phone at 419-313-3236 or in person at the Visitor Center from 10:00am-4:00pm, Wednesday-Sunday. Please note that pets are allowed on all our hiking trails but are not allowed inside the building.
If this date does not work for you, the other 2025 program dates are Saturdays: October 4th and November 1st.
