Invasive Plants Workshop Series

Join Greenacres Foundation and Trees & Trails Foundation for a three-part Invasive Plant Workshop Series designed to empower community members to better manage invasive plants on their own properties. Invasive plants can threaten biodiversity, disrupt ecosystems, and diminish the beauty of natural landscapes. Understanding how to properly manage these plants is a critical step in protecting the health of our local environment. This series will provide participants with knowledge and hands-on experience to identify, control, and restore areas affected by invasive species. Participants will gain valuable insights into the ecological impact of invasive species and learn how small, consistent efforts can make a big difference in restoring native habitats.

Each session will combine classroom learning with guided field hikes, offering participants hands-on experience identifying, controlling, and restoring areas impacted by invasive species. Greenacres Land Management and Research staff, along with the Trees & Trails Foundation, will guide attendees through the process of invasive plant management, providing practical tools and strategies to apply on their own properties.
