One of the most gifted English footballers of all time, Peter Beardsley was a sublimely skilful midfielder and forward.
Peter Beardsley was one third of Liverpool's unforgettable attacking vintage of the late 1980s, lying slightly deeper to create for teammates John Barnes and John Aldridge in 175 appearances for Liverpool and impressive 59 goals. Peter also had an unusual claim to fame he not only played for both Merseyside clubs, but was adored by both sets of fans. a likeable fella off the pitch and a gentlemen on the field. when he was on fire nobody could touch him. the biggest regret of the Blues was his stay was far too short, he was at Goodison for 2 seasons making 81 appearances and scoring 25 goals. in his first season he was top goal scorer for Everton. in the summer of 1993 his boyhood came in with an offer of £1.5 million the offer was to good for Everton to turn down due to their financial struggles and they were making a profit of him.
