The 20th season of Stolen Mill Productions presents.....
Richard Descending
(a play written and performed by Raymond Goodwin)
The youth of a small town losing hope. A teacher trying to understand why.
On most days in the month of May, Richard Curtis, schoolteacher, climbs to the top floor of the abandoned grain elevator in Corren, MI to look down on his crumbling world. His students are engaging in risky behavior, his grip on his job is tenuous, and the town is physically and spiritually falling apart. Now, June has arrived and once more Richard ascends the elevator to talk to the robin he calls "Your Honor," hoping his wishes, and regrets, and his view from on high have coalesced into an understanding of the malaise below.
