Free Public Open House - July

The Georgia State University Department of Physics and Astronomy is pleased to invite the public to a free open house at Hard Labor Creek Observatory on July 26, 2025. The event runs from 8:30-10:30pm EDT (sunset will occur at 8:39pm). Please note that this open house is weather dependent and will be canceled in the event of rain or thunderstorms; the building will be open for tours in the event of clouds.

Parking is limited and carpooling is highly recommended. There are no tickets for the event, no reservations, and there is no fee. Directions to the observatory may be found at:
