In August, Margaret River Primary School students will be presenting a cultural production based on the Dreaming creation story of Wooditjup Bilya (Margaret River), a story that has been entrusted to us by our Matriarchal Traditional Owner, the eldest and Elder of the local Webb family, Nan Vivien Brockman-Webb. This production is bought to life on the big stage at The Heart by local creatives, Weaving Stories of Boodja, Dale Kelly and staff and students from Margaret River Primary.
Margaret River Primary School is actively contributing to the revitalization of the local Wardandi dialect of Dordenup. Through this performance, we will showcase the importance of language revitalization and storytelling, empowering our next generation of local children to play a part in keeping the oldest living culture alive.
We can't wait to share this wonderful production with you!
Age Restriction: G. Please note children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult as the bar is open.
