The goal of Birding for Pleasure in Durham & Middlefield is to engage communities in conversation, restoration and the enjoyment of nature focusing on grassland birds, other wildlife and their habitats.
The Bobolink and Wildlife Festival will further support this goal.
The free Connecticut Bobolink and Wildlife Festival in Durham is made possible with grants from Connecticut Ornithological Society and Hartford Audubon Society and a partnership with Durham Public Library and Birding For Pleasure in Durham & Middlefield.
The Connecticut Bobolink and Wildlife Festival in Durham begins on
Saturday July 12, 2025
with a morning bird/nature walk at Frederick White Farm, then presentations, workshops and socializing at the Durham Community Center. Ending with an afternoon walk to count the Bobolinks. A light lunch will be available or bring your own.
Youth activities are planned for Sunday July 13 at Allyn Brook Park pavilion from 1 - 4 PM for students and young adults.
Register for one or all sessions where age appropriate.
Session 1: Saturday, July 12 7:55 AM - 9:15 AM Free.
Count the Bobolinks and More About Habitats - A guided bird walk at Frederick White Farm.
