During the Self-Myofascial Release (SMR) workshop, you will learn effective ways to identify “knots” in your muscles to improve your range of motion, reduce soreness and remove stagnation within the body. SMR is a practice that incorporates tools, and your own body weight, to target specific areas of the body to release pain. In addition, we will explore the overall impact fascia has on our body. Fascia is a connective tissue that wraps most structures within the body. Soft tissue can become restricted due to stress, overuse, inactivity, trauma and/or infection.
Learn techniques to counteract daily tension and stress during this fun and informative practice.
*All self-myofascial release tools will be provided during the workshop. You can purchase Yoga Tune-up balls after the workshop for $15 as well. Students will leave with handouts of information presented during the workshop.
