Locust Grove Estate will host a concert by Southern Dutchess Concert Band this afternoon at 2 p.m. on the beautiful grounds of the Samuel Morse Mansion. Admission is free, so pack your lawn chairs and blankets.
The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will perform a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include soundtrack music from the "Jurassic Park" movies, Leroy Anderson's "Bugler's Holiday", and "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables. The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
