Downtown Summer Sounds: Funkadesi featuring Pavithra Anand

Join us on July 17 from 6-8PM for a concert by Funkadesi which has been wowing crowds for over 28 years with their blend of Indian bhangra, Bollywood & Folk with Reggae, Funk, and Afro-Caribbean grooves.

The concert is presented in partnership with Evanston ASPA which will be on site to share about their work in the community.

During the concert, there will be free children's art activities provided by the Ridgeville Park District. Beer will be available for purchase from Sketchbook Brewing Co., along with wine, cocktails, and soft drinks from Five & Dime. C&W Market & Ice Cream Parlor will be selling ice cream, and several food trucks will also be on-site.

Please note that the concert will take place on Sherman and Orrington Avenues, which will both be closed to vehicle traffic between Grove and Davis Street. If you're driving into Downtown Evanston for the concert series, we recommend parking in the Sherman Plaza Self Park garage--it's only a block away from Fountain Square.
