Guided Ascent of Carrauntoohil by The Devils Ladder

This is one of the more straightforward ways to ascend and descend Irelands highest mountain and is still graded Difficult. It is a truly exciting and thrilling route and a fantastic day in these most amazing rugged peaks.

A challenging day and a good basic level of fitness is most definitely required.
Time: 7 hrs + approx

This route to the summit is truly rewarding, provides spectacular views throughout and involves a thrilling 300m section of grade 1 scrambling via the Devil's Ladder. It is a circular route and we have a choice of routes for our descent depending on time, energy levels and attitude!
