McDade Watermelon Festival BBQ Cookoff 2025

The Third annual McDade Watermelon Festival is shaping up to be a great time! Teams can begin to check in at 5 p.m. on Thursday July 10th to set up their sites... But the real fun begins Friday Evening with the cooks meeting and jackpot competitions. We are being sanctioned this year by the Champions Barbecue Alliance who will be providing a head judge to oversee the competition! We are a State Championship Cook-off which means an overall win gets you points towards going to a national cook-off! We will have competition in Brisket, Ribs, Chicken, Pinto Beans, salsa, Margarita and Cooks Choice (no desserts). So come one out and cook up your best barbecue, have a great time, enjoy the festival, all while raising money for kids scholarships!!!!
