Honor the courage and sacrifice of first responders and military heroes by participating in the Tunnels to Towers Sheboygan 5K Run/Walk! Inspired by the heroic journey of firefighter Stephen Siller on September 11, 2001, this event supports the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in their mission to provide mortgage-free homes to injured veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families.

๐Ÿ”น Brat Fry by Miesfeldโ€™s!
After the race, stick around for a brat fry in the park until 1 PM, generously provided by Miesfeldโ€™s! Enjoy some great food while connecting with fellow participants and supporters. All proceeds go back to Tunnels to Towers.

๐Ÿ”น Live Music from Zac Matthews!
After you cross that finish line, stick around for an awesome time in the park with live music from the incredible Zac Matthews of the Zac Matthews Band, performing from 10 AM to 1 PM! ๐ŸŽถ

๐Ÿ”น Special Guest Speakers at our Opening Ceremony

Julie Henneberry: Julie was just shy of 11 years old when she lost her father, Lt. Peter Freund of the New York Fire Departmentโ€™s Engine Company 55, during the 9/11 attacks. Now residing in Wisconsin, Julie has transformed her profound loss into a mission of remembrance and education, ensuring that the sacrifices made on that day are never forgotten.

Deputy Wayne Blanchard: In August 2021, while attempting to stop a reckless driver, Deputy Blanchard was struck and severely injured in the line of duty. His journey of recovery has been marked by determination and strength. In recognition of his service and sacrifice, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation remodeled his home to make it accessible and paid off his mortgage, allowing him to focus on healing and his family. His story is a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting our injured first responders.

๐Ÿ”น Stephen Siller Award Presentation
The Stephen Siller Award honors a local first responder or military service member who exemplifies bravery, selflessness, and dedication to othersโ€”just as FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller did on 9/11. This special award will be presented during our opening ceremonies to recognize a hero within our own community.

๐Ÿ”น See the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial Float
We are honored to have the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial Float on-site for the event. Built to honor and pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, this moving tribute serves as a reminder of the bravery and heroism displayed on that tragic day.

Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation makes a difference. Register today and help us honor, remember, and support our heroes!
