Join us for a fun, musical storytelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears! With original music, engaging narration, and plenty of chances to join in, we bring this classic fairytale to life. Performed by a multi-instrumentalist, Tiddlygigs storytimes are specially created for little ones, supporting language development and introducing them to the magic of live music.
All children need a ticket and accompanying adults are free (one adult per child max). The show/workshop is most suitable for children aged 2 – 6 years. Babies are welcome.
About the workshop leader:
Tiddlygigs was founded in 2018 by local musician and educator Emily Murphy to bring high-quality live music to young children in Somerset. Through Tiddlygigs, she runs a popular concert series in Taunton, music classes, and workshops in local schools. In 2023, she launched Tiddlygigs Storytime, touring eight towns with her adaptation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, supported by the Fairfield Charitable Trust and Hinkley Point Community Foundation.
Emily is passionate about making music education accessible, particularly in rural communities. She first discovered the bassoon on a school trip to see an orchestra and is committed to creating similar opportunities for young children. A former Royal College of Music bassoon scholar, she has performed with ensembles including the Royal Opera House Orchestra and now teaches at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton and local schools. A keen enthusiast of Kodály and Dalcroze pedagogy, she holds British Kodály Academy Primary Level 1 and 2 Certificates (with distinction) and completed her Certificate of Music Education in the Early Years in 2024.
