Sonic Love Child concerts are a joyful celebration of American roots and popular music. They spice their varied repertoire of folk, gospel, jazz, vintage country, and classic pop tunes with original and local music. Inspired by diverse artists, including the Carter Family, Louis Armstrong and Sam Cooke, Sonic Love Child just as eagerly serves up songs from the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

However you describe SLC's repertoire, great melodies and compelling lyrics guide the wide-ranging lead vocals, rich harmonies, and deft instrumentation that characterize their performances.

For more than fifteen years, Sonic Love Child has been sharing its love for traditional and popular music with audiences at coffee houses, music clubs, brew pubs, city parks and private events throughout the Twin Cities and Minnesota.

The band features multi instrumentalist and vocalist, Dave Alderson, with Nicole Navratil on vocals and hand percussion, Mark Hoornbeek on guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, and Shirley Fors on harmony vocals.
