Summer Waders Guided Walk

Hamford Water is an important wintering site for many wading birds - the muddy salt marsh being full of invertebrates on which they feed. The winter plumage for many is dull brown and grey.
However, many of the birds freshly returned from breeding in the high Arctic still retain their spectacular breeding plumage. This lasts for just a couple of weeks and this walk is a great opportunity to view these birds in their Summer finery.
Views are often distant so binoculars are a must, but your guide will have a telescope, giving the best views possible.
This walk follows the sea wall, the surface of which is very uneven and may still be clogged with vegetation. please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the walk. The actual route taken will be dependent on the condition of the paths.
Booking essential by contacting us on 01255 679379, emailing bmF6ZSB8IGVzc2V4d3QgISBvcmcgISB1aw== or messaging us on here on facebook.
