The human body is a masterpiece of movement—and as a yoga teacher, understanding how it truly works is essential for supporting your students with confidence and care.

This in-depth module dives into functional anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology through an embodied lens. You’ll explore the spine, hips, shoulders, and joints, as well as key body systems, injury prevention, and functional strength training—all grounded in real-world teaching applications.

You’ll learn to:
✔ Adapt poses for different bodies
✔ Build strength-based mobility
✔ Teach with anatomical precision
✔ Address common movement patterns and injuries
✔ Build confidence in 1-on-1 sessions

Through hands-on labs, guided practice, and applied anatomy, you’ll move beyond memorization and into integration—learning to see and feel the body in motion.

Required for the 300-Hour YTT at Above Average Wellness.

Also open to teachers ready to deepen their understanding and elevate their teaching.
