Join Wapsi River Center staff for an adventure with kayaks. Whether you are a beginner or regular paddler, come out to Scott County Park's PRIDE Lake to go over paddling basics. Program includes all equipment use, water safety, kayaking techniques, and a tour of the lake. You may bring your own vessel/PFD, though it must comply with IADNR regulations.
This program is determined by weather and site conditions. Dress appropriately and bring water and sunscreen. Please park in large paved lot across the road from the lake.
Registration is FREE and is required as space is limited. Follow this link and scroll down to the Kayak Experiences then select the desired vessel and date to register. Call (563)328-3286 with questions. Weight capacity loads for kayaks are 250-300 lbs./solo and 425-475 lbs./tandem (2 person).
