The Bootleg Astronomers are gathering at Green River on June 19-22 for a weekend of camping, stargazing, and being with friends. We have a good time, clear or clouds. If clear, this area boasts some of the darkest skies around for northern Illinois.
The camping is primitive as there is no power or shower facilities. Pit toilets and pump water are available. You are on your own for food, so plan accordingly with a cooler and a grill perhaps. Services in nearby towns are easily accessible. We plan to have a door prize drawing unless turnout is low. There are pre-order ONLY t-shirts, polo shirts, and both zipper or pull-over hoodies available for the spring event, see page 2 of the registration form at the link provided. You are responsible for your own safety at the campground.
