The Play for Jake Family 5K Walk/Run is an annual event held in LaPorte, Indiana, dedicated to raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and promoting heart health education.
Now in its 7th year, the event continues to bring together families, athletes, and the community in a shared mission to save lives. Funds raised from the race help provide maintenance for automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in law enforcement officers.
Taking place at the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater on Saturday, July 26, 2025, the 5K walk/run welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels.
