Faetooth is a βfairy doom" trio originating from Los Angeles. The group is composed of Ari May as guitarist and vocalist, Jenna Garcia as bassist and vocalist, and Rah Kanan on drums. Formed in 2019, the group sought to navigate personal vulnerability and musical experimentation by delving deep into the nature of self, the beauty inherent in the natural world, and the captivating mysteries that surround us.
Drawing inspiration from doom metal, black metal, shoegaze, and sludge, the term "fairy-doom" aptly characterizes their distinctive fusion of sounds.
/ Homecoming
Founded in 2017, Homecoming is a French-British band, cheekily describing themselves as Β«post-whateverΒ». Delighting in the exploration of various cyclopean soundscapes, they weave a tapestry of stonerized electric riffs Γ la Mastodon or Elder, progressive constructions like The Ocean and a medley of furious blastbeats specific to the post-black metal scene, making this genre fusion as effective as it is improbable. And while the band draws from all their collective influences, ThΓ©oβs vocals soar over, be they clean or harsh.
