This treasured story, handed down through the Zimmerman family, features traditional knowledge from the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Grand Portage direct descendant Sam Zimmerman’s vibrant illustrations showcase his deep love and respect for feathered creatures.

After reading the story, participants will paint an animal picture with Sam. All supplies provided.

Best suited to ages 7+ but younger siblings can attend with family. Kids under 7 should have an adult attend with them.
