This free lecture given by the Massillon Museum, explores similarities and differences in the photography of Clara Weisheit and Henry Clay Fleming. Weisheit and Fleming were both active photographers in Ravenswood during the 1920s an 30s. But whereas Weisheit was an amateur photographer (and a woman), and Fleming was a professional man. This presentation examines Fleming’s work, comparing his subjects and styles to Weisheit’s.
