Middle & Coon Valley Intergenerational Trip

This trip is for all ages, for adults and families.
It is an opportunity to spend time reflecting on faith
and how that is lived out in God’s world.


Date: Sunday, June 22nd – Wednesday, June 25th

Estimated Cost: $120 (2 ½ days of service)
Food, lodging and transportation is not included in this cost and will be worked out by participants during our pre-trip meetings.

A little about Milwaukee: Milwaukee is the hidden gem of the Midwest! With Lake Michigan access, amazing selection of food, and a rich history. Although the city of Milwaukee is vibrant and historical, this is an area that struggles with homelessness as well “food deserts” where people in Milwaukee don’t always have access to food that will nourish their bodies. Volunteer opportunities include chances to engage with the people of Milwaukee and its natural setting.

We want YOU to join us this summer!!!!

Options of what we will be doing:
● Helping serve in one of the various food banks around Milwaukee
● Working in a community garden to cultivate, prepare, and preserve food and food traditions as a cultural art.
● Working to support congregations in the city of Milwaukee who serve those who need a place to worship
● Reading to kids during the summer in order to support the education growth of Milwaukee’s students as well as to support the families who are unable to stay home during the summer.
● Working to serve meals to those who are experiencing homelessness
● Helping to preserve our beautiful rivers in the Milwaukee area in order to revitalize surrounding areas as well as improve water quality in the Milwaukee area.
● Working to support an organization which provides personal items and haircuts to women who have been affected by sex trafficking
● Working to improve the houses of those who cannot afford traditional home improvements

The unique thing about this trip is that anyone can come! It is truly for all ages. You can sign up on your own as a young adult of 18 or you can bring your grandchildren or go just with your spouse or a friend. All are options.

• Make a deposit of $50 per individual / $100 per family

This will guarantee you a spot – need a minimum of 8 people by March 15.
