Join us for our August Trimontium Talk! Recent Archaeological Discoveries around Roman Newstead with Professor Stuart Campbell.

Firmly back within the Roman Frontier Zone, we revisit Newstead to discover what recent investigations tell us about life and times at Trimontium and the surrounding area.

Professor Campbell, head of archaeological strategy at the Trust, will lead us through some of the fascinating discoveries made during our investigations at the fort itself and its environs. From aerial survey, field-walking, metal detecting and geophysics, we build up a picture of the Iron Age landscape.

This talk will take place in person and online via Zoom.
