How's your soil? What's that plant telling you? What about those bugs? "We are what we eat, and we are what we eat eats, and we are even what we eat eat eats..."(quote: Charlie Mcgee), so come learn a little more about what you are made of. We will conduct a plant inventory too. Ever wonder what grows in this area that you can eat? I have an 8 page list of plants I typically work with you will receive during our inventory.
And, after some digging, obsevring, and inventorying, we will engage in some fiber work! Did you know you can use daffodils for fiber work? Each fiber has its own, unique texture and characteristics. For this event we will be playing with mostly, daffodils
Need a snack? It should be about mulberry harvest season at Coit during the event. Come enjoy a snack and if you bring a hot cup of water, you can also enjoy some tea. Take some mint home too because mint has a bunch of uses (not just for eating!) and can be easily preserved for the future.
When: Sunday, June 22nd at 3pm
Where: the Coit Road Farmer's Market Food Forest (right next to the food forest on the Coit Road side)
What to bring: yourself and friends outdoor-getting-dirty prepped, water.
