Shipwrecks and Lighthouses of the Straits of Mackinac with Craig Wilson

Join us for a special presentation during National Lighthouse Day! The Straits of Mackinac are a maritime crossroads, full of vessel traffic from around the Great Lakes. This busy waterway is not without danger, as evidenced by over a dozen lighthouses that dot the shoreline and the numerous shipwrecks that litter the lake floor.
Join us for a special presentation during National Lighthouse Day at the Headlands Waterfront Event Center where we will examine the causes of these shipwrecks, with a special focus on some well-known wrecks, as well as the lighthouses and other aids to navigation built to try and make the straits a safer place. Entry is free!
