Map/Compass Class

This is one the kids REALLY look forward to. We will meet to begin with and have sack lunch. During lunch I will teach map and compass navigation (parents too!) We then go up Dayton hill and begin to track (we call it a rabbit hunt, and the "rabbits" are my adult sons) We try to track their movements and find them on the hill, using land navigation, tracking, compass, maps.... we even learn to work with local police or search and rescue authorities. The kids will also learn to 'bag and tag and report' evidence. Bring a big water bottle, hiking boots and get ready to help find our "2 rabbits". More details closer to event
