What is the TAM Trek?
The TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run to raise funds for the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM). The Middlebury Area Land Trust started building the TAM in 1989 and it now encircles the village of Middlebury, traveling through Cornwall, Weybridge, and New Haven. It links several hundred acres of town land, MALT conserved properties, schools, and other local landmarks over the course of 19 scenic miles.
The event hosts a 19-mile race around the entire TAM, a 10K through Wright Park and Otter Creek Gorge, and a 5K and 2-mile fun run in Wright Park. See our race page for each event's start time. All races are single-track trail with varying levels of difficulty. All races are absolutey beautiful and boast a variety of forest, riverside, farmland, and meadow.
Each year, it costs MALT nearly $25,000 to maintain this community gem, your race entry fee directly helps with these costs!
TAM swag for everyone! This year participants get a TAM hat and an option to upgrade to a TAM tech shirt.
