9th Annual Riverside Regatta
This year celebrates Riverside Sesquicentennial. please joun us as we paddle the De Plaines River. we will have Colored Smoke Bombs available on Green and Blue, the 150 colors. Please message us if you'd like to participate and bring a glove to hold the colored Smoke bomb.
Participants will meet at Schuths Grove at Cermak & Des Plaines in North Riverside. From there paddle south and wrap around the village, congregate at the Swan Pond area to regroup, then pass under the Swinging Bridge as a group. Exiting the River will take place at Stony Ford Canoe Landing 43rd & Oak in Lyons. The buddy system is suggested for both the water and transportation from the end point back to the starting point. Participants are responsible for their own equipment, safety, and following IDNR rules.
Those without watercraft are encouraged to spectate on bridges at Forest Ave, Barrypoint, and most scenic the Swinging Bridge. Please post photos to this page so they can be shared. Feel free to share this event and invite others.
