Gravel Unravel is an endurance bicycle series on the gravel road system of Olympic National Forest in Washington State.
This event is designed for those who wish to challenge their physical abilities to the maximum while enjoying the lushness of Olympic National Forest. Participants can ride short (25-35 miles), medium (45-55 miles), or long (65-80 miles) distances on majority gravel courses (percent varies by race/distance) while enjoying towering evergreens and vivid green moss and ferns.
There are both competitive and non-competitive Gran Fondo style divisions, and all are welcome to give the Gravel Unravel a try on their own terms.
The second race of the series is at Wynoochee Lake in Olympic National Forest - Why-Not-Chee on July 26, 2025 - with an afterparty including hot food provided for racers, awards, and a beer garden benefiting Gray's Harbor Sports Association.
We will have some onsite camping - watch our website for details.
Thank you to Series Sponsor Eleven Winery and Title Sponsor Rene Herse for helping make these races happen again this year. Your organizers - Lorrie from Peninsula Adventure Sports and Buck from LaVogue Cyclery - hope you can join us for some Type 2 Fun!
