Annual Dark Sky Festival

Welcome to Capulin Volcano National Monument's Annual Dark Sky Festival! On September 19 and 20, 2025 between 6:30 and 9:30 PM, Come out to the park and celebrate with us the amazing dark skies at Capulin Volcano. Talk with our world-renowned experts about the night skies and what you will be seeing. Peer through telescopes at the great beyond and the vast skies.

During the day in the Visitor Center between 10 AM and 2 PM, peer through a solar scope and look safely at our sun, make your own dark sky button, and get your favorite star or galaxy painted on your face!
