Join us at HM Prison Ashwell. This is a new location for Essex Ghost Hunters, and we cannot wait to investigate.
HM Prison Ashwell was a Category C men's prison located in the parish of Burley, in the county of Rutland, England. The site of the former prison is located about two miles south of the centre of the village of Ashwell
Ashwell Prison was constructed on the site of a World War II US army base (home to part of the 82nd Airborne Division), and first opened in 1955 as an open prison for adult male prisoners. In October 1987 it was converted to an Adult Male Category C establishment.
You will be investigating one of our newest locations so we suggest that you bring cameras, and other recording equipment, you may be lucky enough to capture something truly paranormal.
Your ghost hunt will include:
Vigils throughout the location working in small groups.
Spirit board experiments
Use of ghost hunting equipment including Dowsing Rods & EMF Meters
Refreshments throughout
