Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push 2025

The Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push is back in July 2025. We are looking forward to another stellar weekend of mountain biking.
The Paluma Push is one of North Queensland's most iconic XC Mountain Bike races. It started in 2002 and is held in the North Queensland winter months each year. The event is an individual challenge as well as a great social ride. Take the challenge and do the Push. Be it your first time or your 10th, you are in it to win it or just riding with mates.
Ordinarily, riders start in the dreamy Paluma Village, following a course that winds its way through lush World Heritage Rainforest, past the Paluma Dam, down into shady big timber and open cattle country and finishes at the historic tin mining settlement of Hidden Valley. However this year, due to the terrible weather experienced in the region and the continued closure of roads, the ride will start and finish from Hidden Valley Cricket Oval.
The Push will offer 3 distances in 2025 to suit all levels of skill and experience.
If it is your first endurance mountain bike race the 30km (or single loop) Recreational Course will be the most ideal and suitable course. This course is recommended for the novice (6 months or more of regular riding) to intermediate mountain bike riders with a good level of fitness and reasonable skill level.
The Bike Fix Townsville 60km event will consist of two loops. This course is a step up if you've done the 42km course previously and/or are looking to further challenge your mountain bike skills. Itβs hard work but will be rewarding. This course is recommended for experienced riders with a good level of fitness.
The 90km (three loops) Cross Country Course is the ultimate mountain bike challenge. This course is recommended for very experienced and very fit riders.
Riders have the option to camp at Hidden Valley on Friday night, attend the race on Saturday morning and once they have done the hard yards on the course, they can join in for the After Party at the Hidden Valley Cricket Oval. There will be camping right at Race HQ (Friday & Saturday night), live music, food truck fiesta, bonfire and beers.
